360Photo.Pro produced a selection of highly detailed Spins for Edinburgh Artist Lorna Fraser.
Lorna Fraser has been working as a ceramist from her studio in Edinburgh since 1984. She is a Professional Member of the Craft Potters Association and the Society of Scottish Artists and has exhibited widely in Scotland and internationally.
Lorna’s work takes its inspiration from the plant world and explores the sculptural, sensual and vulnerable qualities of plant life. The work photographed was part of a collection she produced constructed of white translucent porcelain.
The effect of light and shadows are an integral part of Lorna’s work we worked hard to capture both the intricate detail of her sculptures and way the light plays on her pieces.
Given the complex forms Lorna produces photographing and animating her work in a way that showcases both the form and perceived fragility of the piece and documenting the way in which each piece interacts with light was a real challenge.
However we are very happy with the final results, which you can see here.
