360 Spins for Lorna Fraser

Written by creativeadmin on . Posted in Case Studies, Spins

360Photo.Pro produced a selection of highly detailed Spins for Edinburgh Artist Lorna Fraser.

Lorna Fraser has been working as a ceramist from her studio in Edinburgh since 1984. She is a Professional Member of the Craft Potters Association and the Society of Scottish Artists and has exhibited widely in Scotland and internationally.

Lorna Fraser SculptureLorna’s work takes its inspiration from the plant world and explores the sculptural, sensual and vulnerable qualities of plant life. The work photographed was part of a collection she produced constructed of white translucent porcelain.

The effect of light and shadows are an integral part of Lorna’s work we worked hard to capture both the intricate detail of her sculptures and way the light plays on her pieces.

Given the complex forms Lorna produces photographing and animating her work in a way that showcases both the form and perceived fragility of the piece and documenting the way in which each piece interacts with light was a real challenge.

However we are very happy with the final results, which you can see here.

You can find out more about Lorna Fraser’s work by visiting her website or watching the video below.

Virtual Tours for The Chester Residence

Chester-Residence-Lounge360Photo.Pro produced a series of five virtual tours for luxury holiday apartments The Chester Residence in Edinburgh.

The Chester Residence is a collection of luxury self-catered serviced apartments in Central Edinburgh. They have won a number of awards including Scottish Hotel of the Year 2012 and is ranked both the Number 1 hotel in Edinburgh, and number 1 small hotel in the UK on Trip Advisor.

The team at The Chester Residence wanted to offer their guests the ability to fully experience the comfort and quality of their facilities prior to booking on their website.

We produced fully interactive virtual tours for five of the apartments in their portfolio. Each tour can be navigated by either using the apartment floor plan on the side of the tour, images of each room at the bottom of the tour or by selecting the apartment doors to move between rooms from within the tour.

Chester-Residence-Coffee-TableIn addition each room contains photographs of key details within the room to allow users to closely inspect the most important elements of the apartments.

We coded the panoramas in html5 and Flash so that they can be viewed on all internet browsers, including iPads, smart phones and other mobile devices and managed the integration into their website.

This was particularly important to the team at The Chester Residence as they provide guests with iPads during their stay, so it was imperative the virtual tours looked great on this device.

We think the final tours look pretty awesome, have a look and see what you think.
